Pamela J. Eatman is the proud owner of Blackbird Gallery, LLC. where her love for the arts shines through. Born and raised in Chicago, she re-located to Detroit in 2002, along with her husband and two young sons.
As an artist herself, Pam received a BFA from Barat College, Lake Forest Illinois, (now DePaul University), certification in Organizational Development from Northwestern University in 1993 and certification in Entrepreneurial Studies from Dartmouth College’s, Tufts School of Business.
Recognizing the transformative power of visual expression, Pam has created a platform for both established and emerging artists to showcase their talent, fostering a vibrantartistic community. Under her leadership, the gallery has become an institution knownfor its commitment to artistic excellence, cultural enrichment, and curated collections.
Pam is recognized for her unwavering commitment to promoting and supporting the arts. Her passion for creativity has served as a driving force behind her business, consistently fueling her dedication to providing a platform for artists to thrive. Pam understands the intrinsic value of the arts and how it enriches society, and actively contributes to various arts organizations, initiatives, and philanthropic endeavors. Pam’s expertise in organizing and promoting exhibitions, art fairs, and cultural events has been instrumental in attracting a wide range of patrons and collectors. She is skilled in building and maintaining relationships.
Additionally, Pam possesses a strong business acumen, as from 2002 until 2021, as along with her late husband Joseph, owned and operated a successful distribution company, WorkPlace Solutions LLC. in Bingham Farms, Michigan. Pam has established strong relationships and has fostered collaborations with art
professionals, institutions, corporations.
